My son and I are in the process for restoring my 79 Corvette and need some information from you guys. What structural adhesive are ya'll using to bond the headlight header bar to the hood surround? Who make the best seam sealer? Thanks in advance for any and all help.

two-part Epoxy is the strongest.. be sure to rough up both parts first..clamp in place til cured ...... 3M makes several good seam sealers, available at most parts stores or paint suppliers

I just completed the repair your talking about and I used:

39747 MULTI-PURPOSE PANEL ADHESIVE is the product of choice when bonding steel, aluminum, SMC and fiberglass panels.

this is the best..its two-part epoxy ,like I said, and strong as steel .... you can speed up cure time with a heatlamp http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TRM-8115/
