anyone ever had a problem with the gas pedal not going back to idel position when foot is off? my pedal gets caught on the carpet, the bottom of the pedal hangs up on carpet. i had a 73 pedal and it worked fine, but the 71 pedal gets caught. i'm going to tape or glue the carpet to the floor or put the 73 pedal back on.

I can't see any reason why you couldn't trim the side of the pedal off to get more clearance. After I got my '71 I noticed my foot continually got caught on the right side of my brake pedal because the brake pedal was just too wide to get my equally wide foot in the space. So I took my jug saw and cut an entire inch off the right side of my brake pedal and that did the trick. |
