Default valve cover resto

i want to restore my valve covers. They are the early c-3 finned...What is the best way to brighten them up? I am guessing a drill attachment. i do not want to mar the finish but take out the discoloration. 73 l-82 engine. any compunds to use on them? Thanks in advance for the advice.

If you have a sandblaster you might try blasting them with crushed walnut shells. Glass beads would work but they'll leave a rougher finish. And using sandblasting sand will turn them a light gray color.

I took mine/same type to a shop and had them glassbeaded. I also replaced the Corvette badge on the right side and they look great!
