Default new interior

Started putting the interior back in. started with the rear area first. Did sound deadener, and placed the carpet down just to see what it looks like. 1st question, does the carpet get glued down or when I re-install the compartment doorframe, does that hold the carpet in place? The carpet looks baggie.

Glue My choice is 3M 76 Hi-Tack Spray. Check out this site and make your selection. Google 3M auto carpet glue for some other choices.

The factory does not glue the carpet down, but if yours is wrinkled in some areas you can glue it to smooth out the wrinkles. In the areas where it's wrinkled use the 3M stuff a previous poster suggested and then place a brick or weight or something with some weight behind it to hold in place. Good luck!

Where did you buy the carpet and sound deadener from? How did the carpet fit? I am considering doing my carpet this winter.

Thanks,
Mike

There are some good instructions on another forum. I can not post URLs since I do not have enought history on this site. So google Corvette Carpet Replacement and scroll down to Webvette entry and this title "Corvette Carpet Replacement - C5 On A Shoestring Part 7 - Vette" I hope this helps.
