Default Who's running 410's with their 6spd?

I have been thinking about changing to 410 gears. Was hoping someone with them could tell me how you like them. Seems like I should be able to use 6th gear more on the highway instead of 5th.Around town it seems like I hardly ever get out of 3rd with the stock gears. What I'm wondering is how bad will my mileage suffer under normal driving if I switch to 410's. As always thank you for your comments.

I have 3.73's, and 1st gear is so short I almost don't use it. I would think the 4.10's would drive me crazy. I get into 6th gear around 60 MPH (about 1500 RPM), but I started with 3.15's and an automatic so the 3.73's were a bigger jump for me.

I agree with Gig.. you get too big with gears and then you get that "Tow Truck" effect in first gear... I have 3.73 s in one of mine too...3.73 is a better ratio for a driver ...and you don t lose too much in mpg

Thanks for the response, I installed 3.73's in my 99 Cobra but always wondered if I should have went with 4.10's. Years ago I ran 4.56's in my 68 Camaro which worked out OK because the speed limit was 55mph during that time on most major highways.

Hi, I have 4.56 s in my c4, with low redline, they are ridiculous, since with the six speed Richmond trans, I still have 2500 rpms at seventy mph. I can start off in third gear, but usually use second. In low gear, with the clutch out, hit the throttle and the nine inch tires scream. My camaro with 6m and 3.42 s are good, 1700 at seventy mph and get great mileage. Anyone want to swap rear gears, haha.
