Default '76 rear window seal?

Hi all. I new to the site with a ton of questions.
I just acquired a '76 Stingray that has some issues. First thing to do is get the cockpit rain proof.
The rear deck window is the immediate problem. A "rain" test with the hose proved this area could let enough water in to sink the Titanic. Is there supposed to be a gasket for it? the inner plastic trim piece is loose (no screws) but something is holding glass in at the bottom edge. I'm afraid to pry on it till I know what it needs to be fixed right. Btw, looks like somebody has attemped to calk around the outside.
Also all the rubber needs replaced even though the T-tops didn't leak..amazing. Where is a good
kit availible from?

Tim

When I wash my car, I get a small amount of water that gets in through the louvers on the back deck. I'm not sure if that might be part of your issue, but thought that I'd throw it out there.

The '76 doesn't have the louvers so it probably is coming in through the back window. I have the same problem, just not to the same extent, I get water through the top of my rear window but it's only a few drops.

As for weather strip kits, or other assorted parts, I have had tremendous success with Corvette America. The couple of minor things wrong, they took care if real quick and easy.

Go to their website, www.corvetteamerica.com or call Jim at 1-800-458-3475 ext. 219 (I HIGHLY recommend this guy, he knows what he's talking about).

Lastly, if you've never done it before, don't try. It looks pretty easy and straightforward but it's not. You can make it leak worse than before, please don't ask me how I know this.
