I picked up a Dana 44 3.45,rotor to rotor.Took a little over a hour to drop it off the old car, which caught fire(nitrous).I feel as if I can do this job myself,Thinkin of dropping the other axle and using the one I picked up.Dont know about the VSS gearing though.

On second thought ,looks easier to switch just the differential and batwing, but I like to use the half shafts which areDennys nitrous ready

It is actually an easy swap. You will need the D44 batwing as it does not bolt up to a D36 batwing. Then you also need the D44 driveshaft and C-beam. The half shafts are interchangeable. Good luck with it, I am sure you will be pleased with the results.
