Default 82 Header Bar Replacement Help

I'm in the middle of the header bar replacemt on the nose of my CE. I have the old header bar out and and everything is nicey nicey but for some reason when I was ordering everything I also purchased

75-82 Front Bumper Nose Panel Reinforcement

When I get underneath and look around I dont see the part I'm holding in my hands??? I guess I went on a buying frenzy..

I checked the assembly manual and catalogs and everybody just grazes over this item..

Anybody know wher it goes and how it goes in?

It's about 48 inches long. It looks like it picks up the center chassis bolt?

That looks like a nose reinforcement for the '68 thru '72 chrome-bumpered cars. Does it have ten 3/16" holes in it? If so it is supposed to be riveted to the inside of the nose using aluminum rivets.

It's a nose bar reinforcement CC has it listed on the website incorrectly. My car was monkeyed with by the previous owner and I wasnt sure if he just left if out or it didnt belong there to begin with.

It's gong back on Monday. Thank you for eveything
