I'm in the middle of the header bar replacemt on the nose of my CE. I have the old header bar out and and everything is nicey nicey but for some reason when I was ordering everything I also purchased
75-82 Front Bumper Nose Panel Reinforcement When I get underneath and look around I dont see the part I'm holding in my hands??? I guess I went on a buying frenzy..I checked the assembly manual and catalogs and everybody just grazes over this item.. Anybody know wher it goes and how it goes in? |

It's about 48 inches long. It looks like it picks up the center chassis bolt?

That looks like a nose reinforcement for the '68 thru '72 chrome-bumpered cars. Does it have ten 3/16" holes in it? If so it is supposed to be riveted to the inside of the nose using aluminum rivets. Last edited by toobroketoretire; 09-21-2012 at 06:28 PM. |

It's a nose bar reinforcement CC has it listed on the website incorrectly. My car was monkeyed with by the previous owner and I wasnt sure if he just left if out or it didnt belong there to begin with.
