The water has resided so it's time to try to start sandblasting as time and weather permits
I see allot of guys with pictures of BIG shops or even clean garages to work in and even those fancy frame rotating stands (I'm not knocking them just envious) ............. now us poor dumb rednecks have to be creative to make things work one way or the otherI never could get my pressurewasher working right so it is taking allot of extra time and sand to eat away the dry harden grease on the parts. Frame ready to be sand blasted then painted right here ![]() ![]() Now I have a bunch of smaller parts like cross member, trailing arms a-arms etc etc etc so being creative redneck I made a corvette parts clothes line ![]() ![]() only problem was I ran out of hooks to hang parts on ![]() well I used allot more sand then usual cutting throw the grease so I ran out of dry sand and will have to wait for a couple more bags of play sand to dry out before I can sand blast any more. . |

God I hate sandblasting. It seems no matter how well I'm protected the sand finds it's way in and stings the daylights out of me. I was sandblasting not long ago using 150 psi of air pressure and accidentally shot the end of my left index finger. The sand took my skin off almost instantly and drew blood.

ya that sand gets everywhere
![]() I don't really have shade so in the hot sun and sweating it seems like something 40 or 50 lbs of sand just sticks to me. I wear gloves and learned fast make sure that is the only direct place that gets shot with sand but the stuff that bounces off used to hurt but after awhile you forget about it |

One of the biggest problems I have found with sandblasting is the sand "powder" sticks to my goggles or face shield making it real hard to see thru. |

I tried face shield and goggles before I even had a real hood with a lens at one time but couldn't see out of them for long . I just wear wraparound safety glasses now.
