Default center gauge cluster

Does anyone know if a 77 center gauge cluster will fit into a 76? I know there is not a wiper switch on the 77 but is there any other differences that would cause it not to work?

You need to have several catalogs from the different parts vendors as those catalogs will tell you what years the parts fit. I have a catalog from Rik's, Corvette Central, and Eckler's. Also when you have several catalogs you can compare prices as the prices aren't always the same. I have found Rik's carries the same exact parts as the others but their prices are always a few bucks cheaper because Rik's is operated by Rik and his wife only. So for the past two years Rik's has gotten all of my business. And Rik's will also ship via the post office which gets the parts to me in only three days versus 9-10 days when shipped U.P.S. or FedEx ground.

Toobroke, thanks for the reply. The catalogs list different center gauge consoles for the 76 and 77. I am curious if other than the wiper switch, will the 77 fit into the 76. I personally like the 77 best and am not worried about originality. Thanks again,
Bill

Try calling the Corvette Central tech department at (800) 345-4122. They have some very knowledgeable people who might be able to help you

Default gauge console

Thanks guys for taking thew time to reply. I did call Corvette Central today and although the lady rep could not be specific, she did say it was mounted totally different. I will take it as a no.
Thanks again,
Bill
