Default Best C5 Gas mileage

I'm about to take a 750 or so mile trip with an '03 6-speed all on Interstate. What is the best cruising speed for mileage and the best for the engine?

one that doesn t get you any speeding tickets!! seriously, these cars are very fuel efficient at 70-80 mph.. I go to Atlanta once a year in my convertible , I drive 80mph , and usually average 28mpg...its a 1300 mile round trip ... yours, being a 6 spd, will probably do even better..

Although mine is a C6, it is also a 6-speed and when on a trip I set the cruise control at about the speed limit +5 and routinely get between 30 and 30.5 mpg. On many trips I have gotten over 31 mpg.
