I have a 71 corvette with a 383 stroker motor when I hooked up the Holley 650 double pumper carburator linkage. With the rotchest linkage bracket it did not line up well , I had to bend it a little an it is still not wright. When I push the gas pedal down to the floor the carburator is not fully open all the way. I have the stock throttle cable .and all the holley replacement brackets seem to require a cable with square plastic section that fitts in to the bracket. Has any one else experienced this problem?

I'm still using the stock throttle cable bracket- and it's been thru a bunch of different carb/manifold combinations. Mine mounts on the left rear carb stud. I get full travel by loosening the nut, moving the bracket to the rear, then tighten the nut. To me, it's just a matter of playing with the position until it gets to where it needs to be. It's also possible to get it all set, then drill the bracket for a #10 screw and use that as a stop so the bracket can't move forward.
