As the IAC motor controls the idle speed I'd try unplugging and re-plugging it's electrical connection a few times with the engine off. Also if you have any contact cleaner you could try shooting that into the connection.

It's the thing that attaches to your throttle body and has a electrical plugin on it's side. The throttle blades remain almost completely closed at idle and it's the IAC motor that controls the amount of air getting into your engine. The IAC motor has a tapered-end "pintle valve" that will extend or retract according to the engine's air needs and the pintle is controlled by a "stepper motor" which is a motor that can spin in either direction.

I started the car a day later and did not seem to have the problem. Today I pulled the plug both ends
looked pretty clean but i still sprayed some contact
cleaner plugged it back in and the car seems to run
fine ......I will just have to watch it and see.

Thanks
