1990 c4 Speedometer Help!!

Hi, i have a 1990 c4 and need help with the speedometer, when you are driving the car the speedometer is sporatic and is jumping all over the place,one minute it is ok then it will strat jumping up and down from 50 miles to 10 miles per hour and back again. I have replaced everything i could think of but still have not found the problem. If any one can help me with this problem it would be very appreciated. Thanks Bill
