Default Fuel delivery PROBLEM

I have an early 84. 6 months ago the car would run but would die on acceleration, the Fuel tank and fuel pump were replaced. It ran some better for a month, then about 3 months ago it had low fuel pressure and the pump was again replaced. Two weeks ago it was dying on acceleration - low fuel pressure the pump was replaced, it still does not accelerate properly. HELP!

What is your fuel pressure now? If low then maybe your fuel pressure regulator is bad or the fuel filter is clogged..

That would be my first guess as many owners don't know they have one.

A clogged fuel filter can stop an engine then some of the debris it had previously caught falls away from the element. Then when the engine is restarted fuel starts flowing thru it again and that debris gets stirred up and plugs it again. Better to replace it so you'll know it's new.

I have had fuel filters clog to the point where they restrict fuel flow just enough to cause the engine to cut out at some point on acceleration when fuel demand exceeded supply, and then when demand dropped the engine would run smoothly again.
