Question bad bucking... sumtimes

I have a 1994 lt1 with 70k, car is cherry. Lately when driving and you try to accelorate she starts to buck, the harder u try to go the worse the buck is and a puff of black smoke. Mechanic has car for over two weeks now and doesn't have a cleu at what it is. Has no lights on or codes in computer. Gas is clean and 94 octane fuel filters are new and still does it. Any thoughts guys, thanks

Shooting from the hip I would guess a fuel pump.

First have your mechanic check the fuel pressure. Then have him pull the spark plugs and see what they look like. If they all look good have him do an ohm test on each of the wires.

A black puff of smoke would indicate a rich mixture. Check your ignition system, the ign. coil could be on its way out or the feed for the coil or even the trigger for the coil. Had a problem like this before and it turned out to be a pinched ign. coil wire , the 12V feed.
