Default Finally Got My 79!!! =D

After looking and looking endless hours on craigslist I finally found the right vette at the right price. Yesterday I found a red 79' l48 with a blown engine for $3,000. Had 60k original miles on it but was blown 6 months ago by his son and sat there ever since. I offered $1900 and he took it. I then found a 350 l48 engine that some guy was selling out of his old 79' for $1,300. and this is now technically a 360 all the specs here: (1979 L-48 Corvette 350ci engine bored and honed .030 over making it a 355ci with 10.5 Ross pistons and Speed-Pro rings, Crower 4340 rods, crank-rod/main journals machined .010 with Clevite 77 bearings, Milodon high pressure/volume oil pump, Crane Hyd.cam/lifters, Paw 1.6 rockers, Edelbrock double roller chain timing gear set, whole engine balanced by Borderline Speed in N.Y, Weiand Street-Warrior new intake manifold with Holley 4 barrel, Accel dual point dist/plugs/wires, Moroso engine mounts, Cal-custom tall chrome valve covers. 20k since rebuilt) I know I have a lot of work cut out for me but so far I've only spent $3,200, what do you guys think???

Post some pictures if you get a chance. With the intake and Holly carb, will it fit under the hood. I think with the investment so far you have done pretty good. Its not how much you spend, its how much you enjoy it.

yea fish I definitely want some headers, I have another thread I was asking about doing side pipes but idk I'll see where I'm at after I am done restoring the body. today It looked like it was gonna rain all day but it didn't, it was awesome and kept the sun off me. I got a lot done in terms of gutting out the old interior. just have the back cargo area to clear out and I'm done. the drivers side looks to be in decent shape but the passengers side has a hole =/ but luckily for me my friend has a welder and has no problem lending it to me so he told me it's not gonna be too expensive to fix. he says I just have to go down to northern tools and get some sheet metal and see how good of a welder I am being as Ive never welded before. other than what my friend said what do you guys think from the pics? I already know I'm gonna have to sand down the entire floor to see if I have any more damn rust.is replacing floor panels as easy as he told me it is? anyone done this kinda thing before? I tried putting pictures on this post but it's not working im gonna try another post with all the pictures I took today
