Thks for you guick reply slicktop, have been on ebay, but was hoping that someone on here may have had a positive experience with one of the many opti offered on ebay. the 60.00 - 500.00 range scares me..so was hoping for a good recomendation. ade

You get what you pay for. According to my mechanic the only one that holds up is the factory OEM one. Which as of thurs i'm getting mine done. He said he will warranty it and I dont need to worry.

I just replaced my Optispark with a new vented MSD. That's my recommendation. Also, see Genereral Discussion thread titled "Need Help! Starting Issue". I will try to figure out how to attach a link. If not, just do a search. All of the fine folks here at SV were a great help.

Well I went to drive the 7 miles to the shop to get the vette in for opti and tune. Got 2 miles car was smoking under the hood and seems I blew a fuel pressure regulator. So mechanic is now concerned I had a gallon of fuel in my oil pan and I might of hydrolocked the engine. Tells me he cant get a short block and to rebuild the LT1 is crazy. The cars not worth that much.So I find out monday if the engine is dead or not. In the meantime I found me a 2000 a bit on the high side for mileage but its in great shape and a vert and the price is right.PLan is if the 94 is dead move into a C5 with an LS1 I hope I can get parts for and fix and kiss that damn optispark goodbye lol. The only prob is I really love my 94 looks.But I cant see spending all that for a car thats not worth much.
