I know this question has been asked many times with many different opinons, but here goes...
I have a 99 coupe and am considering looking for a used, low mile C6. I am very happy with my C5 but have had it for 5 years and am wondering if the C6 would be even more satisfying.

For those that have spent some time driving/riding in both generations (and besides the obvious body style and C6 being a newer vette), do you think the the C6 is a better experience?

every generation has made improvements over the previous one...and C6 is no exception, more power,etc..I ve had at least one of each thru the C5.. I thought that the fixed headlights of the C6 would eventually grow on me , but they just haven t..it just looks too much like an import to me. so I am in no hurry to go to a C6 .

Yeah,,,The same for me too...i just dont like those lights.. and i dont know if its just me or what but i think there is a little more room in the C5...???? Love my C5

I like the lights on the C6.......very clean. I love the C5 but C6 is step up

Thank you all for your input. Performance being better in a newer model may seem like a no brainer but I was not sure if it was that noticable from a C5 to C6. I have heard it was a significant improvement from a C3 to C4 and C4 to C5.

I would say the biggest leap in advancement was the C5 over its predecessors... yes the C6 has improved on it, but the C5 made monumental changes, from the ground up

Trade up to a better C5. Like a '03 or '04

If you are looking beyond a base coupe into a Z06 or my favorite a Grand Sport there are many reasons too step up. Your 99 is 13 years old. A lot of stuff gets better. Imagine comparing in 1999 your vette to the one built in 1986...
