1987 Corvette Cruise Control - HELP!!

Hi guys,
1987 Corvette, 4 + 3 standard trans, cruise control inop. I have a factory manual with supplements on my Christmas list, but for now all I have are the Haynes and Clymer manuals. They are all but useless for electrical problems. I worked all afternoon trying to trouble shoot my inop cruise control to no avail. I have a long trip coming up and sure would like to make it work.

Does anyone have an applicable wiring diagram for this car/cruise control???

Where is the cruise electronic module located on an '87?

Edit: I see now, "part of LCD instrument cluster". This could be painful....

go to www.vetteweb.com and join(it's free) then go to tech section and on the 2nd page is a well written article with pictures on how to trouble shot the cruise control on the C4 vette. just repaired my cruise control with the help of this very well presented tech article. good luck!!

Maybe not
If it is a problem with electronics on the cluster then may require more skill than us backyard mechanics have to fault find and repair.
