Default Original Radio repair

Sent my original to Dr. Don in Huntsville, TX. came back looking new, working and price was very reasonable. If your restoring, give him a look up on internet.

Rather than getting mine repaired and having it fail again within 2-3 years I decided to buy a brand new reproduction radio from Antique Radios for $549. Their radios are brand new and use the latest solid state technology so when they do eventually fail they'll be extremely easy and cheap to repair.

Out of curiosity how much did you have to pay to get yours repaired? Around $150 to $160 plus the shipping costs?

I sent my '82's radio to Doctor Don about 10 years ago and he sent it back to me with a message saying it needed a part that was no longer available. Ever since then I have questioned the wisdom of sending anything that old in for a repair knowing all of the parts in it are very old and can fail at any time.
