I've seen a number of you talking about Nitto Invo tires. I can't seem to find any information on how these tires are in cold or wet conditions?
Any feed back? |

They are fine in wet conditions, fine for the so called cold here. Don't drive in snow or ice, and don't push it when it is cold.

I have a differing opinion than the first two.
In the cold, they flat spot over night. Now mind you, my cold is only about low 40's this year. Some nights it did get down to the high thirties. Anything more than at normal speeds and driving attitudes and the tires will let you know that they are cold and don't like what you are doing. The point seems to be around fifty degrees. The back end will get squirrelly in a straight line. Now the rain. Don't like them, they don't like it. Anything over a light rain and they will hydroplane. And by light, I mean, anything that requires the wipers past mist. At interstate speeds I have had the car dance over to the other lane and I was only doing fifty. If you hit a puddle or a larger area of standing water, like a low spot or groove on a road and when the front tire hits it, it will jerk the wheel. A regular tire would have no problem. I have had the Goodyear F1 GS-D2 in the rain and it is an excellent tire, but not cold and rainy, as is the Toyo T1, the Invo just sucks. Looking at the Invo tread design versus a good rain tire and the reason is obvious. It doesn't give me a feeling of confidence in the rain and only slightly better in the cold. But this is my daily driver, so I don't get to drive it much. The bottom line is I don't like them and will not be buying another set. Dry summer is good. |

I drive the vette into the low 20s. Cold they are a little better than the factory GY runcraps used on the Z51, but they still spin easy. Almost nothing hooks when temps below 40* without some serious pre-heating. I haven't had any rain issues, but I drive more conservatively in the wet in terms of hard braking/high lateral G's/rapid acceleration.

Had them in the rain a few times no problems and no hydroplaining.
