Those are a waste.
If you have some mods IMO the best thing to do is either looking into someone burning a chip for you or think about a diy tune.

According to "Corvette Fever Dec 1998"

1985 corvette with:

TPIS Custom chip 224.0 HP 315.0 torque

Stock chip 223.0 HP 312.8 torque

Performance Resources 220.9 HP 311.4 torque

So basically for these early C4 cars it looks like the are not very tunable or the computer is to slow. So these after market chips might not be so great even the custom ones but this 85 had basic stuff no aftermarket cam or heads, just large tube runners new 52mm TB, K&N, fuel pressure regulator,air foil.

Because the MAF is self adjusting you are no going to see much improvement with bolt ons; once you do a cam/head change a tune will be more effective

But for less $$$ than a HyperTech you can still get better mods;
fan on/off temps , TCC lockup, EGR /AIR delete , KS sensitivity , etc to your requirements , not a generic one size fits all chip.

Many seem to forget that there is no Magic Pill, or Magic Chip that you can take/install and get gobbs of HP.
The chip has to work with what ever mods have been done to you car...not just the engine, but tranny and gearing as well...so in effect the chip is the LAST thing to install...1st, decide what you are going to use your car for...Drags, Motocross, everyday driving...decide on performance goals and build for that...just remember that speed/horsepower costs money...how fast do you want to go..??
I know that isn't the answer you were hoping for..
