Default How many of you are tracking your car?

I have a friend that is always tracking his Vette and it sounds fun but of what I have heard, that puts alot of stress on the entire car.

I have once, and will do again soon. It's addictive.

Go fast, no tickets, cheaper than tickets, safer than on any road.....

I would say generally yes it puts more stress because you drive harder.

When you start on the track, you are probably hardest on the car. I had an instructor drive mine around the course and he went faster than me, but the car seemed to handle it with ease. When I got started, the tires complained, etc... but I got better.

As for a road v track, tracks are much smoother (no potholes) and better roads.

So, if you race on the street, I'd say a track is easier on your car....

I have done the AutoX once, with the cones and it was pretty fun I must admit.

Default ok

wow i thought this was about putting one of those husband finders on your car and tracking it from your computer or cell phone...

been racing mine for 5 years now.
As with anything else you do it all costs money
If you show it costs money to make things prettier
If you race It cost to fix broken parts. it all comes with the game.
If you just out there having fun car can take it I raced stock for 1 1/2 years.
Then I started going crazy
But mines show and go so my piggy bank gets bit at both ends

heres one of my early races

Thy rod and Thy piston, they comfort me.

Thou hast anointed my bearings with oil.
My car overpowers,
Surly traction and victory shall follow me
All the days of my life.

I highly recommend it
I've drag raced, road coursed, autox, and land speed raced

It's all addicting. My advice is don't do it unless you can afford to fix what you break pretty quickly. I blew up a cluth at a very inconvienent time and went 5 weeks with out my car. It sucked

Let the games begin.

It's very addicting!

When or if you get addicted, I would check into Safety equipment then a second pair of wheels with some R-compounds.

Any questions, feel free to PM me.

I drive a C6Z with Big brakes/Coilovers aka RACE CAR on the street . I can help you with direction if needed.
