hey guys,
I have a stupid question. I have a 66 vette i am trying to restore as close to factory as I can. My question is, Did Chevy not keep a copy of build sheets when the car was being assembled? Is there no web page or department with in GM you could call with the vehicles VIN and find out what a car was assembled with when it rolled of the factory floor? Your wisdom is greatly Appreciated. |

GM has no records later than 84. 67 and later had a copy pasted on top of the tank but most are in bad shape by now or have been removed by earlier owners.

One of the few items that can document your car would the warranty protect-O-plate. That little credit card-like metal tag would have codes for your options stamped into it. Rich
