What's the smartest way to disconnect the battery on a C6.
both terminals? which one first...
Just the Red?
I've never been that good with electronics..
Any advice would be appreciated, I know these Vettes can be electrically temperaMENTAL!
I'm going to be under the hood checking O2 wires, spark plugs and wires, and cleaning ....
should I even worry about unplugging the car?
I'm not a vehicle electronics expert either but I have never heard of a suggested method of removing the positive or negative terminal in some order to diconnect the battery, and I've worked on mine quite a bit without any adverse problems. But, maybe I'm missing something...
You ALWAYS disconnect the ground wire first, and re-connect the ground wire last. Notice how I used the term "ground" rather than "negative". Because in a positive ground system, in that case you disconnect the positive "ground" wire first.
Always remove the ground wire first. And connect the ground wire last.
