I am a proud owner of a 2003 50th Aniversary Z06. I am looking to upgrade my brakes and I was considering a 6 piston Stopteck kit. Has anyone used this brand before or are there any other brands that anyone can recomend where I can maintain that level of quality? Also are those Ceramic brakes? Whats the difference bettween Stopteck and Brembo.
Stoptech, Brembo, Wilwood, AP Systems, & Alcon all are top quality brake calipers. Any of them will accept ceramic pads, but why would you want to use a ceramic pad in an upgraded brake system? Ceramic pads make less dust, but they don't stop the car as well as regular race pads.
Check out the baer brake set up well actually the rotors using C6 braket and calipers - you wont have to change your wheels and you can move up to one inch bigger rotors- there web site is terrible but they have good brakes
