The gauntlet has been thrown down. The line? Drawn in the sand. Each, confident. Some would say ****sure.:)smilielol5:) C6 vs C5. Fixed headlights vs Flip-ups. Cars: New vs old. Drivers: New vs old (sorry B! :D) Is this Battle of the Titans going to take place? Only they know. But if it does, what say you SV? Who wins? Opine, my brothers.....

Unless Sam has been out practicing, if the race is from a dig, a good driver and a stock C5 Z06 with nitto DRs could take him in the 1/8 mile. :thud:

From a roll, he can press a gas pedal down as good as anybody and has the cajones to keep it mashed to 200 mph so Blu needs some serious FI or a 500" solid roller motor. What's Blu packing? :secret:

LOVE how this is breaking down along party lines.

10-4 in favor of BLU in the C5 section

10-4 in favor of Powerlabs in the C6 section.

Now, gotta say C5ers, we all know what Powerlabs has got. Don't know what BLU has, though we all assume it's stout. But that's assuming. Doncha want more info before ya back your horse?

Maybe good ole BLU needs to hear the famous line, "Mr. McGhee, don't make me angry; You wouldn't like me when I'm angry!" :happy0045:

let's see it !

Put an end to this! We've all seen Powerlabs car,his problems, his initiative, his mistakes, and his determination to do it right, with pics of his efforts. I have never seen the other car or know anything about it except talk.Let's see some timeslips or pics of the C5 and some information other than " It's not stock". JMHO

FYI: I'm in Chicago this weekend, I'll be there from Friday night to Sunday Morning, then driving back up to Houghton. Let me know if you can take the drive.

Also, here are my two cents worth, and with no offence meant:

If Blue Collar Z does in fact have a car that can beat me, then 100 bucks says he has a drag Corvette. I know he lives downstate so those 100 dollars say that even if it is not an all out drag car with a high stall, gears, etc etc which would not even survive a several hour long highway trip without overheating, he still can not drive the car this far on drag radials. I am quite familiar with drag 'Vettes, my buddy dave has a C5 that has run a best of 9.2 @ 149 and will run 8s this year still. It gets trailered to the track and back and overheated within 30 miles the one time he drove it on the highway. The speed is impressive but the practicality is not.

So I am guessing if this is a drag car the race will never take place because it wouldn't make it this far. If he DOES have a car that is completely streetable and daily driveable like mine, chances are he has a slower car than me and will not want to race, so, again, the race wouldn't take place. If he has a car that is as streetable as mine AND faster, thent that's awesome. I'd still pay 100 bucks to see it. I know they exist, my car is not that special by any means, I just don't see them very often.

Those are my 2 cents worth.
Blue: PM me for my cell phone # if you want to line anything up near Chicago this weekend, or any time after that. I am willing to drive as far as the bridge if you want to drive up from wherever you are downstate. Again, just a friendly race, I'll put 100 bucks on the line for grins if you decide to show up. I'd prefer to do a roll on but I'll do it from a dig too as long as its not very cold out. If you don't want to bet 100 bucks that's cool too. As long as no s**talking is involved after the race is over it'll be a good time.

Cheers.

BS or not

WOW, simple, direct, honest contest of two car guys. One is REAL and the other is" alledged" to have something which will only be proven by his(or her) lack of response. If I may suggest,I believe the respondant will not respond or come up with some BS excuse.Talk is only the movement of air, reality is doing what you claim to be.I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!

What's a gauntlet?
It's a pretty good CLINT EASTWOOD movie where he's bringing his real life girlfriend at the time (sondra locke) back to testify and the cops is out to get him . :bump2:
