Sweaty master cylinder 1966

I recently noticed a slight sweat of brake fluid at the master cylinder where the bowl meets the cap. This is the case even though the car hasn't been used in a while. Upon investigating I noticed the diaphragm was kinda flimsy and is from a '64. I've had this car since 2000 and never knew the diaphragm was wrong but never had an issue like this before, either. Anyway, I bought a correct year diaphragm, installed it, and a minute later, I still see the sweat all the way around the master cylinder just like with the old diaphragm. And with the car just sitting there, and not even pressing the brake pedal.

Now what the you know what is this all about?
