The good news would be that the performance is definately enhanced....faster acceleration and better gas milage without a doubt. The bad news is it is louder than I expected. While some younger people probably think the sound is awesome, I find the cabin noise to be loud and annoying. It sounds wonderful outside but inside that deep throaty drone is getting to me. I am debating whether to just take the whole Borla off and install another GM stock system instead. That would be a waste of $1,500 for sure. Is there any way to reduce the cabin noise and still keep the Borla Catback system. I am desparate for a quiet interior!
My suggestion would be to take the system off and return it for a refund(depending on how long you have had it) or try and sell it outright. The only proven aftermarket exhaust system that doesn't have a "drone" is the Corsa cat back system.

What about the sound deadening products? Won't they help?

Yes, but the only cost effective one I know of are ear plugs...

I'd just put the resonator back in and see if that helped.

Chances are he done nothing. He didn't keep his old exhaust and the shop sold it for scrap, so now he figures he's screwed. With his wife still being pissed that he blew $1500 on that "THING", there's no way he can admit he need's to spend more on it. Much less to remove part of what he blew on it to start with. And as he's already learned from his slight brush with p0rn sites, his wife is very adept at finding where he's been and what he's been doing on the net, so he deleted his post as best he could. With only 2 post to his name, I suspect the 2nd is tittled "How Do I Delete A Thread".
