Hi Guys,
I am looking for a replacement hose for the rear window bower fan. It is an oddball size of 2 1/4" ID. None of the Jobbers hear have anything that will fit.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for the help.
Unfortunately the hose was $2.29 and the shipping was ...........$83.22 !
They must think they have to use a dog sled to get to me here in BC.
I would try walking the aisles of you local building store; your equivalent of a Home Depot or Lowes.
The other option is to wrap either masking or duct tape around the ends of the ends until they reach 2-1/2" in diameter then use 2-1/2" hose....................
I appreciate your suggestions toobroketoretire!
Where you from Son?
Corporate America Box Stores invaded us a long time ago!
And, no I don't think ill be wrapping the duct work with tape, my days on the farm are long gone.
Thanks again!
I always try to make a proper fix but there are times when I just don't have any other option than to improvise. I suggest wrapping 3/4" masking tape around the ends until their diameter reaches 2-1/2".
Back in the 50's and 60's the flexible hoses were readily available but as injection molding improved there was no longer any need for connecting hoses.
then , take toobrokes suggestion, try home improvement store or maybe an HVAC supply ... don t know how long you ve had your car, but there s not much you can repair on these cars for $2.29 .. like I said, that 2 1/4 will be difficult to find..and welcome to SV
