Fuel Injector Cleaners - What do you recommend???

My '99 has right at 50k miles, thought I'd seen mention of some injector cleaner you add to the gas? Can't find the post, figured it can't hurt. Anybody remember? Thanks guys....

I agree. Techron is good stuff. Just be advised that there are two products in the Techron line. Techron Concentrate Plus which has been found to be usefully in removing deposits that cause the fuel level sensor in C5's to quit reading and Pro-Gard Fuel Injector Cleaner for injector cleaning.

It's all good stuff. I like the techron myself. Seafoam and Marvel work good too.

At some point though, they all fail.

Techron and Seafoam are 2 of the most reputable cleaners/additives out there, though depending on the condition of the fuel injectors can be a temporary fix.
Seafoam has actually been around since the 1930's and is EPA Registered. It's a 100% pure petroleum product, so it is as safe for seals, o-rings, sensors and other fuel system and engine components as the fuel or motor oil that runs the engine.
Although we provide a professional flowtesting service, we also carry Techron and Seafoam.
We included the post/article on Seafoam a while ago. The information can be found
in the SVC store under Corvette articlesl.

I am partial to BG 44k, and not just because the logo is the same color of my car (lol), nor for the reason Rush advertises it, but for the reason that it works well!

I have been using it in all my cars since 1997. Every other tank. You can get it at Dealerships.:sm_party:

There's only so much you can do with miracles in a can.

Has the car been sitting for a bit? Or have you been having any problems? If you're not having problems, don't worry about it.

Cleaner is something you do as maintenance, if you're having problems with how it's running may be time to send them in....let me know.

I haven't put anything in mine in 30K mi., maybe I should because I'm down to 23.5 mpg on the 4 lane.

The wife's Vue 4 cyl. was getting 23 mpg (down from 27) on the road. Put in a bottle of Gunk cleaner yesterday and it went back to 27.6. That's cruising at 76 for 900+ miles.
