Nice weather this week, so I dug her out of the garage, washed her and started driving again. Straight out of the box, the front right turn signal wire broke and no turn signal. Ok, no biggie. Splice it back together, return to checking lights. Now the driver front side turn signal (the one that stays on) burned out. Ok, no biggie, pick up a bulb next time in town, I can still drive it. Now yesterday the right turn signal doesn't work again.:mad5:. Get home tonight thinking that the wire came loose again, but NOOOO! Right rear bulb burned out. CRAAAP!. Now I get to injure myself replacing that blasted thing. I still love the ole girl, but damn this bites, lol. I'm thinking about going ahead and putting LED's in while I am there. I have heard that you have to change the flasher as well, has anyone tried it? To top all that off, my headlights are starting to act funky. Sometimes they will pop up, sometimes they don't. Guess 2012 is going to be my replacing crap again year. It was a good three years. All my batteries in the boat shot craps this winter, and I just replaced them in 09. Ain't life grand?!?

I don't know what they were thinking when they designed those rear lights. The headlights are going to need some plastic bushings and you are going to feel like an idiot on the first one. You are going to wonder what they were were thinking when about that also.

I kinda thought the same when I got my '89. But after about a year of fixing and updating into a daily driver (only car I own now), it's been a complete joy of a car. Bosch injectors and full roller rockers and rebuilt tranny (with warranty), turned my old Vette into Ms. Dependable. :patriot:
