PRimer sealer had to be done over. The scoop I cut in and the excessive removal of paint with large grit, Creates more gouges then needed especially being new to this.
1. Use Fiberglass Expoxy resin ONLY on SMC. MARINA HAD THIS.
2. Smooth out.
3. Bondo and bondo. BUT VERY THIN LAYERS.
LAYER UP TO HEIGHT NOT ALL ONE SHOT>
Takes 3 nights.
4. 1 coat, Wait on flash time then, 2 coat Epoxy primer. Sealer application. MIx for 5 minutes minimum .MUST WAIT THE INDUCTION TIME OF PRODUCT, Was 30 minutes. Used first 5 minutes stiring. counted that HEH>
5. 2-3 coats high build. K36 non reduce i think.
Dont want a sealer you need semi heavy. 1.8MM TIP gun. This I thought would take care of the gouges. But Didnt achieve it being my first time.THEN SPRAY IT ALL WITH GUIDE COAT> BEST THING I EVER DID>
Sanded all down with 16 inch sand tool.
5. 1 -2 coats epoxy primer. NOW THIS IS THE BAD PART> All flaws show up with this shine. Attempt to just sand all epoxy primer sealer down and still was not good. Had to Reshoot to bring low areas up and then 3m Type Bondo patse, Again as directions say. READ ALL DIRECTION PAINT PRIMER ETC before starting. Then Layer paste up gradually then sand with 320 then 600 wet. Then Again Primer sealer SWITCH TO 1.4 MM TIP. to bring it back to where you can see under light. ONce you sand Even though you paste it. THe sand Dulls it and you can see how good. Minor touch up and Minor part spray sealer. READY FOR TOP COAT. Let set over night.

and even though you dont need to. With 600 wet or 800. Then Top coats Warning!!!!!!!!! Dont use PASTE until 6 hour set on Epoxy primer. Weird shrinkage goes on during that period.
I read a thread here on SV - it mentioned a SV vendor who would facilitate ordering Amsoil at less than retail. I placed my order tonight and want to say a big THANK YOU to SubDriver.
A tip of the hat to you SubDriver!
Midamerica came through on backorder. One month wait but worth it.Very fine quality by Factory reproductions in Chino Ca.They shipped them by air all the way here to Canada via FedEx at the cost of ground I assume because of the factory delay of shipping them to their outlet. Good by them!! I missed out on summer with them but who cares.

My 86 Roadster with 51k has been slowly getting a bit "doggy" over the summer so I took it in to my favorite garage, Rays OK Service in Greenfield WI. They determined that the two pre cats and the main were plugged up and not functioning very well. They installed a new Y pipe from the exhaust manifold that eliminated the pre cats and a new Walker high flow main cat converter and all I can say is wow. I NOW HAVE A TOTALLY DIFFERENT, HIGHLY RESPONSIVE, GREAT SOUNDING, COOLER RUNNING MEAN MACHINE TO PLAY WITH. The repairs were pricey but well worth the effort.

Ever since I broke it changing out my plugs, it bugs me every time I see it just hanging there!! I would like to know if it's important or not? It is located on the Passenger side, on the side of the block, in between plug #3 and 4. Right on top of the O2 sensor, in back of the oil dipstick tube. Here is a picture, sorry I couldn't get the sensor in the picture, my cellphone camera sucks:

On a side note, I know most of the parts on my C4 but I would like to confirm if I am correct. More of, I would like to know what these parts are in this picture(driver' s side, very top front of the engine bay):

Left would be my charcoal canister?? and the right sounds like it' s sucking in air, so vacuum.....part of my emissions?

I am in a rush to type this, I will be leaving to tech school soon, I will read the answer when I get back. Thank you in advance.

-Andy.

My engine runs smooth as silk but I don't know if this is an exceptable amount of oil to be burnt or not.
