The interior is missing the shift boot and the brake. Got it done in town and she didn't want to chance it. How hard is it to do it yourself? :rofl:

I just renewed my membership here today. It was so easy a caveman could do it. Actually auto draft lol. But my reason for saying anything is we all enjoy the site so we need to show our support. Junkman's Corvettes at Carlisle Experience - The Return!

Well what can I say, it was Carlisle so you know it was a good time! I was actually under the weather this year but by the end of the event, my juices had started flowing again. I left Louisville in a small plane looking somewhat beat up.

See, don't I look sick? :thud:

When I arrived in Carlisle, I was given the keys to a very nice set of wheels. As you can see, these type of keys can perk a guy up! A very nice ride indeed!

I got to see my main man for Corvette knowledge again! For those who don't know, this is Paul Koerner (C4C5Specialist), a World Class Certified GM Technician who was flown in by Mid America to do some seminars on the C5 and C6. If you ever get a chance to hear this man speak, DO IT. He is the E.F. Hutton of Corvette knowledge.

Pulling the trigger on the flash test, unplugging folks from the Matrix!

Smokin' Vettes had a unusual looking ride in their tent. Definitely drew in the attention!

Things were constantly hoping at the Adam's booth. People were constantly in line buying something.

Anyone looking for a fixer-upper? A little detail spray and you're ready for a Saturday night cruise! At least at that asking price, the damn thing should run, eh? :surprised

The Adam's Customer Appreciation Party was fun as usual! Plenty of food, drinks and laughs.

This here is my bud "Kool-Aid"! He got his name from an accident he had where he ran through a garage door. As he stood there with debris all over him, someone said that he looked like the Kool-Aid pitcher as he crashed through. Needless to say, the name stuck! :rofl:

I tried to belly up to a conversation between Big Steve (Krazytrain) and Kool-Aid but they put the squeeze on me!

This company was selling some slick hoods. They need to work on their swirl marks though! :lookinup:

Here's a good gauge that you can use to see how under the weather I was. Look at the size of my steak. I could only manage to eat half of it!

Although my appetite for food was beat down, I still had my eyes on the ladies...

B-17 bomber flyover

We have a WW2-era B-17 Flying Fortress bomber at an area airport this weekend. I haven't gone out to see it yet, but heard they are giving rides in it for $450(!). So today I was outside washing my convertible, and heard what I knew had to be the unmistakeable sound of 4 engines rumbling out a sweet bygone-era sound, that could only come from that aircraft. Looking up I saw it come in low, bank in front of me, and level off and disappear beyond the treeline! Such a sight! I grabbed my camera and set it aside, hoping to still be in the garage when it made its next pass. I was, and this time it flew directly overhead, and I took these pictures, below. I can only imagine how terrifying a sight it must have been for our then-enemies to look up and see the sky full of these massive machines, raining down terror and destruction. How wonderful however to see this magnificent piece of craftsmanship, one of only a handful in existence, flying again on a mission of peace.
