I was planning on going to a local show yesterday and at the alst minute my Brother-in-law talked me into entering it also. So after a furious 3 hour cleaning session we were off and barely made the registration!

To add to the craziness they made all the owners park at the entrance and register before being parked in your assigned class. Well I jumped out and left my key in the ignition (off) registered and ran back to the car.... Fired it up moved a foot and the Vette shut down on me!!!!!! I got the "Pull key, wait 10 secs". :lol: I thought oh man!!!!! NOT the Column Lock nowwwww... My Brother-in-law said all he heard was VARROOM and then phtpppp and then heard me yell "Column Lock?!?!" :rofl: Well after 10 secs it fired up fine... Wierd!

They put me in the Two Seater Sports car class which can be tough... But I wasn't expecting anything anyway...

And if I was lucky I'd get Third! Well I won First the Healey second and the 74 Third! I was shocked!!!!!!

First show for me with this Vette and the first show in the States period for me! I was really tickled!

Congrats man. Looks like a great time. Local car show here next weekend, maybe I will get lucky and win something. Planning on putting dads 62 in also so it will more than likely beat mine.

Thanx everyone!!!!! I honestly was pretty shocked... Especially considering that the majority of the work I've done isn't seen until the sun goes down! :lol:

It would've been nice to have a SmokinVette T-Shrt on!!!!!!!!!!!! hint hint... Or a flyer to put in the hatch area!!!! Funny thing is I never saw the owner of the 74, it really was a great looking Vette though, all original with one re-paint I'd say.

Hopefully the members that enter car shows can get some stuff to promote the site, I know I'd do it! :thumbsup:
