I'd like to get my windows tinted and would like to know whats a fair price to pay for tinting a 2003 C5. Whats a good durable tint to have them use? I've seen friends with tint jobs that look like crap after 9 to 10 months. Edges peeling, bubbles, and so forth.

I'm thinking about getting the hatch and door windows done.

Anyone have problems with the law with tinted windows?

My 04 that I bought already had the windows done(came from CA) and its great. Ive had tinted windows in many cars for years and done it myself also but if you want a A-1 job take it to a pro...it just turns out so much better. Where I am in Wis the cops are real pricks about tint and I have gotten two $167 tickets already but I am not taking it off. They had a cop get shot many years ago from some loser teens who shot him in a car with dark windows:willy_nilly:

Had both C5 and C6 tinted, 5%. Paid $225.00 for tint, one piece in back window. Kinda a crap shoot with the local PD. If you're not willing to put up with the hassles, wouldn't do it. It is an easy reason to be pulled over. Check your Local Laws.

In New Jersey, required to get car inspected, Window tint is automatic failure.
