Try Zano wax? Not sure on that one. I don't have hard water.

I had the same problem. My chrome wheels used to look terrible.I ended up buying a water softener for the whole house.Maybe try that wax as you dry spray.

I hate to even guess on what that might have cost? Thats like a whole big tank deal you need correct? Similiar size to a hot water tank? If so can you even wash a car in one shot? I don't know much about water softener systems??

The tank your refering to ,holds the salt that is used to clean the filter.A water softener basically is a filter that takes the hardness out of water. The salt is used to wash the filter after a certain number of gallons is used or a set time is achieved. So washing a car is not a whole lot of useage. I Have one other outside spickot, non softened water, designated for watering the yard or filling our hot tub.
