I doubt you'd actually burn up your bumper---there's not enough heat that far back as long as the engine is tuned properly--over time ther may be enough heat to warp/distort it though---with engine movement while running/drivng--I'd be concerned about them rubbing on the bumper also---if the mufflers can't be adjusted themselves I think I'd try a muffler/exhaust shop and maybe have the pipes bent slightly to get some clearance.

Thx for the reply just worried that the pipes are touching the bumper I ran the engine and the pipe heat up after awhile and are very hot too the touch but and can keep my hand on them. I havnt seen another vette with the pipes touching the bumper not sure if I want too risk burning up my car the gas tank is close if the bumper starts on Hhow much heat do you think that bumper can take.

The gas tank shouldn't be a concern--there's just not enough heat back there to affect the fuel trank---BUT I would be concerned about the long term affects of even low heat and rubbing--- the bumper was not designed to be in constant contact with the mufflers or pipes.

Hello.
It will Melt the Bumper Cover and will do it fast. Just adjust the exhaust hanger, You need at least 1/2 inch clearance.

:iagree: it will* melt the cover .. and you must feel a droan from it rideing up against the bumper,* if you had it done in a muffler shop take it back and tell them to fix it right ,if you did it yourself try loosening up all clamps bend the muffler tips down and retighten:
