I have a C6 already and came across a wounded C5 that needs some major TLC... its priced to be a steal? I am considering it but wanted to see if anyone knows of places where I can get decent prices interior and body parts? Thanks! :p

Sure do, I have a friend who owns a Corvette salvage yard in Illinois, he should be able to get you a good deal on the parts you need. Also, between Ebay, and some "other" Corvette sites, I'm sure we could find you anything you need.
Let me know if I can help,
Ed

Lets see some pictures too if you can. Like mentioned above, I'm sure with the many different places on the Internet that you should not have a hard time finding anything that you may want or need to fix the C5.

does your friend have a website for the savage parts? What type of inventory or amount of parts they have? Thanks

Ask for Jason or TJ, they usually have a pretty decent supply of C5 and C4 stuff and they'll give you great service !

My main ride is a 2004 C5.
I was able to get a very clean 2002 Z06 for $23,000 which is the foundation of a road race car I'm building. You can find some terrific deals on 2002-2003 C5s. Those are particularly good years, as they offer a good value & most of the imp tech improvements in the C5 line were added by that point.
I have raced C5s, C6 couples and C6 Z06s. The C5 Z06 and C6 coupe perform very similarly. I might give the edge to the Z06. Neither holds a candle to the new Z06, but a used C5 Z06 is approx 1/3 the cost of it's C6 counterpart.
Specifics on my project avail on link below:

Good luck in finding a great C5. Well worth the effort.

C5 or C6 you can't go wrong. I have owned my '98 since it was new and love the car. I have thought about getting a new one. I will keep the C5 till it dies!
