I have a friend who was telling me that the Z06 brakes are really no good? That there was stories about these brakes failing???? Is this rumor or is there some truth to this?

Rumor is true, for rr track applications. A good friend lost his C6 Z06 brakes going 130 mph on the back straight at Autobahn. Lucky he didn't total his car and himself.

He immediately brought Brembo GTs and loves them. So do I.

PS. OEM is fine for street however.

Interesting! I have heard that too and I originally thought that the brakes that were on it were supposed to be very good! Just goes to show you that nothing is a fail proof product!
