The other day I drove Grand Sport to the local airport to attend a college class. After the class I got in my Corvette and tried to start her as I normally do but I got nothing as I turned the ignition to start. I had 13volts of power the head lights and horn still worked so I know the battery is good. I tried starting her in other gears besides park and still nothing:confused: . Then I popped the hood and I checked to see if any connections came loose I even removed the covers over the right and left fuel injectors to see if everything was still in order. I checked all the air lines from the throttle body to the EGR hoses everything appeared to be secure. All electrical connections from the coil alternator,ICM,ECM as well as spark plug wires are secure. So I jacked her up on the right hand side and I started to tap the starter with a wrench but still nothing, the wires on the starter appeared to be loose and had a bite of play in them . Then I bridged the starter with a screw driver with the ignition in the On position then she started up but wouldn't stay running:confused: . Any thoughts to what might be the problem? I would also like to thank GM for putting the starter next to the CAT and 70% of the C-4's wiring next to intense heat sources which will cause failure and leave you stranded just like me.
