I have been starting to add alot of mods to my Vette and I was wondering should I notify my insurace company of the more pricer mods? To make sure they are covered on my policy? I wasn't sure on this and thought that the insurance company may increase my rate because some of the parts are performance?

Hell yes your rates are gonna go up because now the insurance company is gonna put you in a high risk group because their gonna assume you're racing for one next the chances of theft will go up because your Corvette is modified. Yes it is a good idea to get the pricer mods covered by insurance though its worth the piece of mind alone.

Just get a new appraisal done for what the cars value is with the mods. The insurance company isn't going to assume you are racing a vehicle unless you tell them your racing the vehicle. All your mods could be for show purposes.

I think most insurance companies will just charge you a higher premium to cover the increased value of the car.
