What needs to be done to a C5 motor to run a charger like one of these? Does the motor need to be forged? If I run a low boost with a stock motor will I manage ok and yet take advantage of some new power?

I run the ProCharger on my LS2 C6 with 6 pounds of boost and zero issues. I know guys that run 10 pounds on stock engines without a failure. Gotta have a good tune.

:iagree: On a stock engine you shouldn't generally push it above 7 PSI for daily driver use. However with a safe tune with proper fueling AND timing you can go further. All depends on how you drive the car....

I have a 2002 Z, I've been looking to move with a procharger set up. I should beable to run higher boost than 7 psi seeing its a Z right?

Z has higher compression and better heads than the LS1. So you really shouldn't too high for a daily driver car. If it's your weekend warrior and you don't mind taking chances you can go higher with a spot on tune.
