 If I don't start my vette daily the battery will loose it's charge, it's been in to the dealership time after time, always the same answer ( bad battery) I'm at a loss as to what it might be. any suggestions
thanks Bo

Could be damn near anything… I take it that the battery was replaced a few times? You could do a good ole backyard mechanic trick and hook an amp meter up in series with your negative battery cable to look for excessive (more then 20 milliamps) of drain. If you have more then 20 milliamps, leave the meter hooked up and start pulling fuses. When you find the offending circuit, you’ll have to find the source of the short…
Try the amp test and let us know what you come up with.

It turned out to be the driver seat bladder was leaking and the air pump was turning on when the car was off draining the battery. I disconnected the power seat and the problem went away. The dealer said I needed to change the bladder and because GM had a design change on the bladder I would also have the change out the pump total repair charge $1200+ still have not fixed. Not happy

Wow! Well there's no way I'd pay that! First off my passenger seat had a busted off elbow at one of the side bolster bladders, the pump NEVER turned on with the ignition off, as a matter of fact the pump never turned with the ignition ON unless the switch was pressed! SO something is a bit fishy here... That pump should not be turning on without pressing the button while the ignition switch is either in Acc or Run.
I replaced my side bolster bladder with a spare bladder that I purchased off of another Forum for very cheap, as a matter of fact I got the whole bladder assembly (Four bladders) for $60.00. If I were you I’d stat looking for a used one.
I’d re-connect the seat’s power cable and plug the hose leading to the leaking bladder with something, heck even a golf tee. Then see what happens… You don’t have to remove the seats to gain access to the bladders either. Unzip the cover at the top and pull the center pad down, pop out the round press pins and the side bolsters can be peeled off of the seat frame. I don’t know which bladder is leaking but you’ll have access to all four this way.
Try that and then post back with what happens…
