I was reading some of the post in the detailing section today and came up with a curious question. How many of you use a buffer compared to those that hand wax your car?

I myself use a buffer.

Nothing like hand waxing. It's kinda like sex.

Wax by hand, polish with my Metabo rotary or Flex random orbital polisher.

 I don't know about waxing my hand like Sword does!  Funny you mention the Flex, Sword.

As of this morning, we now have our inventory of Flex polishers! Check out these specs....
Power input 900 Watts
Power output 590 Watts
Rotary RPM: 160-480
Orbital OPM: 3200-9600
Weight 5.75 lbs

If the Flex won't cut it....no pun intended....try the Hitachi rotary we have.

That was a typo and should be wax by hand as correctred.:o

I use to have an Hatachi rotary but I gave it to my father when I purchased a Metabo. Hatachi does make some nice power tools for the money.

It was a joke....:smack:

How are you liking your Metabo so far?

When I do it, I do prefer by hand, machines are to big and I get tired!

Completely by hand... but I want to get a machine. Just not sure what to get, or how to get started.

I prefer to do it by hand. I enjoy the feeling of rubbing my baby:drool5:

When I open my detail business I plan on using random orbital polishers. Detailing 8 hours a day will cause my rotar cuff flair up. As my business grows I'll have my people do all the work while I go back to doing my Vette by hand. Call it going full circle:thumbsup:

You can give me a hard time for my typo if you want. ;)
I love the Metabo. Very light and confortable for a rotary.

I have considered carrying that machine, not only because of the specs, but for the affordability of it as well.

I use the Porter Cable 7424 orbital buffer and love the results it gives.Varialble speed 2500-6000 RPM with six inch pad. Check out Adams polishing products and video and see it in use.

I'm going to finish up looking around here, then I'm going to go detail my car and wax it, by hand.

Hand wax unless I'm in a super rush.
