Anybody heard of or using Akebono ProAct ceramic brake pads on their Z06?As I drove back from the inlaws Wednesday and Thursday and, as everybody else has experienced, the brake dust is more than I'm willing to live with. These pads are priced very well and the distributor says I can send them back if I don't like them. Hard to beat that offer unless someone here knows of problems with them.

Where did you find that set? I have never heard of that brand, has it been around for awhile?

Well I was doing a search on Stoptech (which is what I wanted) and I just stumbled across this brand and just wanted to see if anyone has used them yet.

You don't like the stock Z brakes? I think that they are great, but maybe you are doing some insane driving, I don't know.

Mine get dustier then most regular cars I think, but nothing that does'nt wash off easiely when washing the Z too....

LOL you must be doing some heavy racing because mine just don't get that dirty.

I have just ordered a set of GM ceramic pads and I will have them put on asap! I have read that the "dust" factor will be cut down considerably.:D

Would be interested in better set up pads myself. Not to happy with the stock GM's. Can you use other than OEM pads with Z06 stock brakes?:confused:
