This is really cool! I just joined this morning and just kind of getting used to the site and I found these "off topic" section and I love it! Well I went to Munich for Oktoberfest and it was a blast! Talk about some beer drinking,

Did that 4 years ago! The beer tents where so full. I have a collection of beer steins that I brought back with me. I would like to go again some day. :patriot:

I've been there at least 20 times. The country is better than everything else.
My personal favorite is Bodensee lake. You can see the Alps.Clean and fresh place!
And the biggest Euro Tuner show is there :)

Do you need to speak German to get around over there?............or are there enough English speaking people there?

They understand EVERYTHING but don't like to speak English. Germans love their language....
What a great place to travel. I was in Munich for a week back in 2000. I have traveled across Europe, the Middle East, and parts of Africa, and I will have to say Munich is on of my favorite cities. Friendly people, great beer, awesome historic venues, wonderful place.
In reference to the English speaking question, they understand it quite well. If they do not speak it, they can at least point you to the place you need to go for help. Very friendly people in general.
Also, it was a very clean city. I was amazed at how clean it was considering the size of the city.
Thanks Germany for a great time!
