: Favorite vacation?
vettegirl2007 07-27-2008, 10:26 AM Love all the new forums Smokin. Travel? How fun :p
Ok mine was Cabo, our hotel was right the beach over looking the main harbor where all the cruise ships come in. During the day we either stayed on the beach or the hotels pool which had a bar in it. We did take a glass bottom boat taxi over to down town once. Night life and food was soooo good. We went scuba diving and snorkeling which was beautiful as there are so many colorful fish all around you. 4 days was not long enough and went very quickly.
nyvette 07-27-2008, 07:53 PM Favorite vacation I would say would have been The Great Barrier Reef off the NE side of Australia last year. We where over there for 3 weeks and there really is nothing like it, we rented a catamaran and captain who brought us sailing around the reef, where we did some deep sea fishing, snorkeling and diving around the reef (AMAZING), and the food there was top class. One of the more peaceful and relaxing locations I've been.
Mangs 07-27-2008, 11:38 PM This cruise I went on alittle over a year ago. I didn't want to go on it, but ended up meeting this girl from Mexico that was on the cruise. Hung out with her and had a great time. Still talk to her, but haven't gotten together again yet. She is suppose to come visit in Jan.
OneFastMom 07-28-2008, 07:02 AM Grand Caynon 3 years ago, we drove up in a rented RV it was the best time, next time would like to spend a little more time and maybe walk down to the bottom.
smokinvette 07-30-2008, 08:57 PM Tough one, I've been over to Europe a handful of times. Last trip we went to Munich for Oktoberfest, stayed in downtown Munich overlooking the city.
Then there was trip prior to that where we landed in Paris, traveled by train down to Zurich, Switzerland, then to Malone Italy, then Florence (where I had the best steak ever!). From there rented a car and drove down to Rome then up to Venice. Was over there just under three weeks.
DynamicTuningSolutions 07-30-2008, 09:56 PM Tahiti then to Moorea for our honeymoon had to be one of the most memorable ever. Highly recommended if you want to relax and enjoy the ocean and island. Very enjoyable!

new zealand, very cool, very fun place, people are very freindly, police seem to be very cool also, came up behind a cop at about 120 mph, i slowed down when i realized it was cop, he pulled over & i thought i was busted, he never pulled back on the highway, couldn' t belive it!!! thought that was very cool. anyway i liked the south island the best, stayed in Queenstown very nice town & great local beer.
Smokinvette3 11-03-2008, 05:43 PM I've been on some awesome vacations, but still want to do the "best" which I think would include that adventure vacation itenerary at a reasonable price tag. Somewhere spectacular where there is fun in the sun during the day.. horseback, ATV'ing, maybe a little ziplining, water sports, etc... and lots of moonlight dancing, romantico settings, exotic food... hmmmm, anyone know where this would exist?! lol...
bigblock427 11-03-2008, 05:51 PM Just about any good tropical beach, with white sand, clear blue water, numerous cocktails, great food, and Jimmy Buffett music playing continuously.:yay:
Dan Dlabay 01-05-2009, 04:35 PM Had 2 vacations that I really enjoyed. 1 was to Rome and Egypt in 1999. Ever since I was a kid I have been interested with the ancient Egyptians. My wife and I spent 4 days in Rome. We visited the Vatican and all the ancient Roman sites. In Egypt we spent 5 days in Cairo visiting the museum, the old city and the pyramids. We then took a 16 day cruise on the Nile stopping at many ancient sites. The second trip was to a place I never thought I would go to. That country is Vietnam. My wife is from Vietnam so a couple of years ago we took a trip to S.E. Asia. Spent 6 days in Thailand, 3 days in Singapore and 3 weeks in Vietnam. I t was ainteresting and fun trip and I met a lot of nice people.

Sting's Better Half 07-01-2009, 01:45 PM Sting and I have had some great vacations in CO. But I'll never go to the top of Pikes Peak with him again if it's cloudy outside! lol
I want to go to Hawaii more than anything, but I just can't convince Sting to take me!

I lived in pearl city, HI. (Military Housing)
I would recommend anyone with vacation time to go to hawaii. It's perfect.
I am thinking of taking a trip to the north shore this year.
khan2305 09-15-2009, 08:16 AM Went to the Grand Canyun 3 years ago...it was amazing. Traveling through Tennessee has a lot of curvey roads that are fun to drive on....like Rt. 30 in Pikeville...near Fall Creek Falls State Park!
maggiegirl 09-15-2009, 06:20 PM We've been to Kittery, Maine quite few times and that was pretty neat. Grand Canyun was amazing!
CorvetteDon 09-29-2009, 06:15 PM 1 week stay at the Royal Towers of Atlantis in the Bahamas.
tirecrawlerNikki 10-22-2009, 04:51 PM Cabo was really awesome. Lovers beach was probably the best beach I have ever been to. Costa Rica was awful nice too. But whatever you do, DON'T DRIVE THERE. They are crazy drivers! People were passing me while I was passing someone on a two lane road!
trourke 12-30-2009, 03:20 PM My favorite vacation is loading my bike in my trailer with all my camping gear and spend all day riding then a fire and beer and cigar anywhere in the highlands of Virgina.
