Radioflyer97's How-To Post #19: Lighted emblem Door reflectors
There have been a few people doing lighted door reflectors and i thought the idea was cool, but needed a touch of my insanity. Thus: we have the progression of the passenger side reflector first:
First, the laser engraved Corvette emblem on a 1/8" chunk of acrylic:

removed the reflector lens and cut out the corvette cross flags silhouette: http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c200/radioflyer1986/dooremblem.jpg
Then the fun part: cut out a new lens from 1/4" acrylic, bevel the edges to a smooth finish then torch them ever so slightly so the sanded area becomes transparent. Then spray paint the backside of the lens in such a way that the emblem silhouette it clear. (radioflyer trade secret)
The finished product:

Mounted:

There's still a few things to trim, but it looks absolutely awesome. Unfortunately my weak-*** camera doesn't do it justice.
